What is this in my engine bay?

It has a vacuum hose that goes to my booster. I never had an auto muscle car, I guess this related to the transmission?

Yep, with the bracket, looks factory to me. Doesn't your turn signal switch have the controls on it?

  N88  option code ,   4.3% or 403  70 R/T  chargers  had cruse / auto speed control ,

yes needs vacuum supply as far as I know  , because when its set & in operation , soon  as you hit the brakes , it disengages .

I had this on my '70 Cuda and was the first thing I took off because a muscle car shouldn't have cruise control IMHO.  You can sell the whole unit pretty easy because no one make them and guys restoring gold standard cars with the N88 code are hunting for them.  I believe the main unit this is universal on all Chrysler models and the turn signal lever, hoses and speedo cable would be different between A-B-E bodies.

And they are not all alike.
The mid 60's ones are different from 70-71 and the later as well. There are 2 vacuum hose ones, 1 hose and some of the later ones had plastic sides.
Not to mention brackets are different from car to car.

the vac source is needed - how the servo works is there is a input and an output speedo cable that goes to the mechanism - this is the speed reference. The solenoid is activated via electrical current and it allows the vac to pull on a diaphragm inside the disc looking piece - this diaphragm is attached to a throttle cable that puts tension on the throttle linkage - thus keeping the throttle part open.
