I was just wondering, if I build a mild stroker (373) and use shorter rods to match. Will it change the pistons deck height?

Reason I ask, is that I was planning to go .030 over on the bore and so I am planning to using KB243KTM-030 and want to know if I need to change the pistons, if I decide to stroke the motor.

Heads are EB 60175 (65cc)

To determine Crank Centerline to the Block Deck:

1/2 the Stroke
+
Rod length (center to center)
+
Piston Height (Compression Distance)

Small Block Mopar 340/360 Block Deck Height is about 9.600"

What "shorter" Rod are you thinking of using ?

Randy, it is alot easier to find crank, rods and pistons to do a 4" stroker and you will make more horsepower,  and you will have a wider choice of available parts.
