The only thing I changed was the L brackets. Had to move them to gain a little more clearance for the blower pulley. I basically moved them flush with the radiator and re-tig welded them. If not for the blower pulley, it would have fit just fine.

Hmmm...I'm thinking your Griffin radiator or A383's ebay radiator.  Do you remember if there are fan shroud mounting holes in your Griffin?  Both seemed to have served each of you well.  Thanks again for your responses...

No there are no holes for shroud.

No holes for a shroud?  Great, so how do you attach a shroud to these things?

You can fab some mounts out of aluminum and tig weld them to the radiator. If your not comfortable with doing that and dont have a tig, any fab/welding shop should be able to do it quickly.

I'd think the best and most quiet fan would come out of a Mercedes.

Don't know about "quiet".

Check ebay or a local junk yard. Mine is the newer version I got it for less than $100.

WHAT ok back on the want list, lol...

Make sure you get the newer version.  The older fan needs a special controller in order to keep itself from burning out AFAIK...
