The new Meritor ChampTruck World Series, which will bring a true big-rig racing circuit back to the United States for the first time in nearly 30 years, will pit 12 trucks, including two racers from Boles, in 10 races nationwide this year. Series creator and promoter John Condren says ChampTruck was designed to be inclusive. Competitors don't need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a high-end race truck, he says. In fact, ChampTruck's rules are designed to prohibit deep-pocket spending and level the playing field.

Road racing big trucks was attempted here in the early 2000's and did not make it.  I believe the trucks were all built from the ground up.    $$$$$$$.

I once saw a truck super prix as a kid.
That was some real entertaining stuff. alot of these guys end up in the gravel pit. More of an entertainment for the spectators then a true close race. Its cool to see 4 of these beasts next to each other dive into a corner where there's only room for one of them.

However these things over here arent even close to a true road rig....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

myk

Well they have that in common with their car-based counterparts.  Those "Camry's" are about as Camry as a watermelon...

HANDM

Sounds like fun....as a driver
As a spectator however, I wouldn't wannna be choking on the diesel exhaust all day.  :eek2:
