Somebody built that thing, and then brags about never having off-roaded it?   :shruggy:

It'd be a cool ride if it was done in Pro Street form.  Kinda looks like Wile built it

I could be wrong but it looks like that car can be carefully plucked off that perch and put back on stock suspension. Looks like the stock unibody is still intact.

Mike DC

Let's hope so.  I don't see a lot of demand for its current state.

And let's hope the unibody didn't get too stressed & twisted from being solid-mounted onto a big heavy flexible truck frame.  No telling exactly what that may have done to it.

QuoteWHY?

Look at the paintjob & upholstery.  This thing was obviously built decades ago.

These conversions were more popular back when musclecars were disposable in the 80s.

That's what I'm seeing too.  I don't think it'll take much to put that Runner where it belongs...

yeah, but would anyone really want to pay $22K for essentially a shell (albeit one that appears to be in fairly decent shape) that still needs a full resto (or at least substantial body work and a bunch of parts)? Not unless the shell was verified as super rare....

We may see the RR shell in a different light than the general public. :o
How many of us would give it a second thought if the "car" was a mustang (for instance)?
What drove this project is something that many of us can relate to on some scale. :shruggy: ---- I have a motorcycle project that uses an aluminum KB hemi block with alum. mopar heads. I've heard the comment--A waste of a good engine---  For me the engine is not wasted. It is just living a sheltered life for now. ;)

I do feel the  :eek2: thing when looking at that but I'm sure the builder felt some sense of accomplishment.  There is little doubt about the value of the parts involved and they most likely will find there way into something else. (As will the engine in my project).

I'm sure most of us have been to a hot rod/custom kind of show.  What I marvel at is the talent and passion that goes into one of a kind cars. I am especially drawn to rat rods. :D  It is a kind of art form that has no practical value but does draw interest.

When it comes to art---??   When we see something we like --it's art.  When it looks like junk. It is (to us). :Twocents:

BTW I forgot this was for sale as a complete item.  It's worth the value of the parts.  The chance of finding a buyer that has the same vision of cool is very low. :slap:
