Nice 70 but I dunno is it just me but I've noticed that a lot of 2nd gen Chargers not having wheel well trim. I know that it can be owner's preference but didn't most 2nd gen Chargers come off the line with ww moldings. Just a pet peeve of mine I guess.

I had them on mine back in the 80s when i had it .. they did promote rust in a major way  i think people either took them off or opted out after a while.

It's an older resto.  If it wasn't an R/T it would be a 18-23K car.

It's still a great example  :2thumbs:

I would argue it has never been restored. Looks like it had a poor repaint many moons ago.

No one else notices the rot on the top of the PS quarter, or the suspect mud on the bottoms of both quarters? Broken lense, shot interior?

im curious where you guys get your values of a car from

how do you know what they are worth?

This always puzzled me, is there a classic car blue book or something?

how do you determine the value a car by a picture online?

Just curious....i never understood that part

keith88

There are places that will give you the value of the car in certain conditions My classic insurance  Hagerty is one of them but i have seen others as well.

IMO,
It mostly definately has had some old repairs done around the rear window, rear quarters, etc., back when repainted.
Looks like they forgot the lower left rear valence @ the corners back then ? or they weren't bad when the rest was redone ? because the rear valence is swiss cheesing now on the left & right corners, bondo bubbling behind the rear wheels.

Still an original R/T car, but I suspect once you get into it, probably just a really good "restoration" candidate, nonetheless, still involving a future restoration ? and we all know what those cost ?

Wheel opening trim was optional on '70 R/T's.  :yesnod:   :2thumbs:

Looks like a fairly decent, largely unmolested example. Perhaps that's why the bidding is so high, or maybe the color combo.
$36K still seems a tad on the high side, IMHO.

Bottom of Quarters look like all bondo. Probably rougher under that paint then it looks. I think price is steep & car is rough compared to mine :scratchchin: :shruggy: :Twocents: LEON.

How abouy that green 70'! :icon_smile_big: Red one does look fairly unmolested though.

is a "popular" colour combo(red/ black guts)  worth more than an "unpopular" colour combo(orange /orange guts  )  ?      what's a colour worth ?
