dash pad

Hello guys, Have a 69 charger, ordered new dash pad, has I believe 5 bolt holes, Do I have to take the whole dash off just to replace that little pad, any help would do, Thanks Pat

It would help. Mine is sitting right next to me and I can see that they are shoved way back in there. Or contort yourself and get a long extension on your ratchet. you might be able to get it that way.

With the dash out it is much easier, but you have to pull the windshield in order to remove the dash as an assembly.

You can remove the pad with the dash frame still in the car, but you will have to remove the gauge cluster, heater controls, radio, and glove box/liner. From there as suggested you will need an assortment of ratchet extentions. Wobble extentions and swivel sockets make the job a little easier, too.

Have done it without pulling all the stuff, but it does take a little longer.
