What should I do with this crap? Is it worth trying to sell? What good is a pitted console top plate set when it costs more to restore than it does to buy new? I'm tired of this stuff sitting around.

Lennard

Put it up for sale for cheap rather than toss it away. There are always people who need parts and can't afford new. :Twocents:

Daytona R/T SE

Put it in the Trade/free section of the classifieds on here for a couple of months, and THEN throw it in the trash. :Twocents:

Been there...

Done that. ::)

I guess I'll give it a shot. Maybe I'll make enough to buy a Killer Burger.

Been thinking of asking Wildcat Auto Wrecking to see if they might want it for an in-store credit kind of thing.

I think you can sell it.  There are some people on a budget to the point that they will Grind, Bondo, paint these parts to avoid the extreme cost of all the "little stuff".   :Twocents:  I'm not planning to do this, but I must say it is temping with the prices of parts.  A painted console plate and painted bumpers looks alot better than driving it with those parts missing due to budget.   :smilielol:   :2thumbs:

If its a pitted 4 sp console plate set I would love to own it.
I have a console Im trying to put together cheaply.

Ha. Bull, I'm in the same boat. Lots of old parts I didn't reuse on my Chargers. Can't bring myself to part with them. You never know when you might need to replace that brand new wiring harness with the old hacked original.

Had a girlfriend like that once.........met her in a diner.

She drove an old Merc with rusty pitted fenders just like her thighs.

Yeah, she was a little bumpy but had a good heart.

Well sir, here's what we did..........

OK boys, pick it up and run with it.

 Yeah, some sort of disorder I suppose. I hate to see original parts go to scrap for some reason.

The leafs are probably scrap.  You've already got a buyer for the console ;) , and I'm sure someone would restore the bumper.  I have one too, but I care not for such time waisting, and will likely pitch it.

If the leafs are originals with the stamped part numbers on them still readable, somebody out there might want them.  :Twocents:
If they are too rusty crusty, then scrap 'em.  :yesnod:

I was happy to get a dinged up cheap bumper for my car, better than nothing.  That goes for a lot of parts on it.   :2thumbs:

Hoods, seats, grill frames, bumpers, trim, fenders, doors, complete 8 3/4 rears with springs, glass...... AHHHHHHHHUUUUGGGGHHHH!

I have a full shed of the crap that I just can't toss and don't want to dick with craigsflakes or fleabay.....

What are we Mopar hoarders to do???

Old Moparz

Many of the re-chrome vendors will buy original bumpers as cores. When I bought the replated bumper for my Scamp at Carlisle last summer the guy took $100 off the price for the core. If you have someone local that does it, call or email them. :Twocents:

And I have no idea how to value any of it. :shruggy: I want the prices to be fair.

Dmichels

I sold old tired rear leaf springs and torsion bars on Ebay I think I got $100 for the lot. The bumpers are good for cores with the chrome shops.

I'm in the same place as you. I have lots of good used misc. stuff.  I don't want to spend the time per part to advertise for the fair value and I don't want to put it in the scrap recycle bin. :brickwall:

Easiest thing, just put them up in the parts section here, and let people off you cash.  :2thumbs:
