yes i took a few videos of it and those photos

I myself would love the car, but one charger is expensive enough for me  :yesnod:

needs just about everything inside (door liners, head liner, dash is ok, center counsel , window cranks, carpet, needs 69 seats, needs whole new back seat)

But its a r/t se car....very uncommon to see

and a beautiful color too.....b5

twodko

No way $17k with such extensive and expensive work needed.
$8-10k IMO.
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

Not to high jack the thread but how rare/uncommon are '69 R/T se Chargers?
I'm just curious because I own one.

Brock Lee

Not ridiculously rare. Their survival rate is better than most other Chargers. Within that group you are left with cars that still have their original engines and transmissions. Many had their engines swapped out over the decades.

I'd be curious about that "barn", as it must've had one heck of a hole in the roof.

So that car for $17k or the real barn fond 5 years ago for $25k. No brainer, as the market hasn't gotten stronger. :Twocents:

Yep, my original engine and transmission are gone also. Thanks for the reply. :2thumbs:

Within the 69 Registry, the RT SE accounts for almost 10% of the total cars registered.  How many still survive and how accurate that is across total production is still a guess.

Thanks for the info!

Stegs

i read somewhere that the r/t s/e cars where around 4500 in total production numbers for 69....I could be wrong

Anyway, the owner wants 17k for it.....is it worth it? i dont know

I thought i would post it here, its always fun to see the old cars that have been put away for a long time come out

fy469rtse

69 RTSE's . i think from memory around 2250 in total,
not to be confused with base SE's which you could order,
when i loaded my cars detail to the registery, i think less than a couple hundred on there , its a while ago,
and yep my original drive train gone as well,
was a negleted rolling stripped shell when i got her

Lennard

Mine was a street/strip car when I bought it. Not much S/E stuff left other than the trim around the pedals and the black spray painted woodgrain dash bezels.

what exactly did the s/e package get you?

My uncles has a 69 charger thats been sitting since the early 80s. His is a 318 car, 2bbl of course. The car has a white vinyl top, tan interior with i think its t5 Bronze (its some form of bronze with almost a very light metallic in it)

His is a S/E edition....so what did that give you?

please correct me if im wrong, but i was told that early 69s had a all black dash and metal 727 shifter. The later 69s all had wood grain dash and a wood shifter for the trans

again, im no expert, just looking to expand my knowledge

Ghoste

Woodgrain dash was an SE thing, the very early 69's did share the same shift ball (metal) as the previous years.
