Do they mean methanol mix or straight up ethanol in the gas tank? If a blower is meant for a alcohol motor does it mean it won run on gas?

an alcohol dragster runs methanol 100% the jetting is way different for gasoline , it take 1.7 times more methanol for proper fuel mixture,

And the actual blower is just force feeding the engine, it doesn't care about the rest.  It can be optimized for different situations of course but as mentioned, its the fuel metering that's different in the example you give.

thx guys....looks like im not gonna buy this blower it was a 14-71 BDS blower and I would have to modify the firewall to get it to fit.

Who are "they" and in what context are they saying alcohol?

The announcers at an NHRA event are talking about pure methanol in most cases, all though there are some cars that run on pure ethanol as well. If you are talking about E10 or E85 mixes  in pump gas, than these are blends of ethanol with gasoline.

Both will attack rubber and cause issues in classic car fuel systems as a result.

Methanol is also highly corrosive and attracts moisture.
