Hello All!

I'm new both to Mopar and this forum, but I wanted to pose a question to all the Mopar Gurus here on the forum...and I hope that, like the Corvette forum I'm also a member of, you guys and gals will be nice enough to help.

I have a 2010 Charger SXT, and up until about a week ago, the trunk light was working properly.  When I open the trunk, the light doesn't come on.  Thinking it was just a burned out bulb, I replaced it, but it still won't work.  No other courtesy lights seem to be affected, so I doubt it's a blown mini-fuse.

So, being new to owning anything Chrysler/Dodge, I have no idea where to look for the switch that actuates the light.  I thought it would be on the latch plate for the trunk lid, but the only moving part I see there is the spring that pops the trunk lid so that the hydraulic supports get a boost to open it.  Does anyone have any idea where this is?  Is it inside the actual lock mechanism?  Could it be something else I haven't thought of?

Thanks so much for any help/advice you may have!

First , I'd like to welcome you to the site. Unfortunately this site is mainly for older chargers. Not that someone can't answer your question, but you'll probably have better luck at the LX forums

Have you put a volt meter across the socket to see if voltage is getting to it. Try to trace the wires from the socket back to the switch. It might be the switch. Good luck
