I'm guilty of being the poster of the nutjob comment  :slap:....I could tell this dude was full of crap from the get go.....just like that kid who wasted 23 pages looking for his 'dream' Charger.

So is this auction for real and he's really selling the car or did he put a high reserve like $20,000 on it so he knows it won't sell?     :shruggy:
Or, maybe he's trying to rip some poor idiot from overseas off that has more money than brains?   :shruggy:

Unless it's a HEMI car or it belonged to Elvis, it'd never be worth that money.   For $27K you can get a nice looking and driving 68-70 Charger.

I can see some of you never did understand what happened or still don't get it.

:brickwall:

Ok, can you set me straight and help me understand what I'm missing?   And help me understand why this car is worth a $27,000 buy it now price?   If this car is that valuable and important I must have missed something then and I apologize.   I'm not trying to be a smart ass,  I'm just not sure what I missed.

Skip, it was never about money.
It's not about the value of this car.

Yeah, well im sure his "dream" didn't cost him 27 big ones to acquire, so that sounds like bull. He's obv some goofy dude who isn't serious...unless he is  :shruggy:

This thread started out weird and has gotten even more weird :shruggy:

skip68

I'll say.   The very beginning was bizarre with the secretive mystery about who he is.    Unless you're a celebrity, politician, artists or pretty much ANYONE OF FAME OR NOTORIETY, YOU'RE A NOBODY.

I won't be surprised to see this change once he can't sell the car for triple it's value.   It'll be a "I'm gonna keep it and fix it"
If there was any doubt about this thread being bizarre that went out the window with this last twist.
It's one thing to get in over your head on something and have to walk away because life happens.   Understood.
But to do it overnight and then price it for about 3 times it's value is loony.

Even the hlpg crooks wouldn't try for this kind of money out of a car like this.  And they're scammers screwing people.
To say this entire thread has been strange is pretty much common sense.   We all have dreams but common sense and reality has to be a part of it when you're trying to accomplish the dream and make it a reality.

Looks like he has a new dream by wanting $27,000 for that car.
Trust me, when I sold my General Lee if I'd told people here I wanted $60k for it and everyone knew it was only worth $20k I'd be getting slammed by everyone.  Especially if I knew it was only worth $20k.  I'd be considered an idiot or scammer.

Really?  He said that several times "it's not about the money"
But he's asking for crazy money.    :shruggy:
Why wouldn't he just pass it on to somebody that can do the car justice and be happy to get his money back or even at a small loss?
I think it's been about the money from the start.   At least it definitely is now by his asking amount.

building an engine isn't the magic wand to acceptance in the mopar community. its a passion for the ultimate muscle car. you have the passion. so here it is. when you have a direction you want to go, just be straight forward with your thoughts and ideas. it took me 16 years to complete my car. its not perfect. its just the way I envisioned it. if you want to build one to keep, then that is your direction. if you want to be a flipper, then state that right up front so people don't lose sight of your direction. pick a path and stay with it.   but be here for the passion.  :yesnod:

I knew dang well if I listed my Charger, it would not sell. I was just afraid and wanted a way out.
I will not sell my Charger.

Dam I'm good!    I pegged that one.  Wanna know what happens next?
:icon_smile_wink:
Well said nvrbdn.    What was all the talk about Vin Diesel and the count from Count's customs is onboard?     :popcrn:
Is there any truth in that?     :popcrn:

Just an observation, but doesn't the speedometer look a bit weathered to be in a barn for 30+ years? Mine was sitting outside in the same spot from 1972 to 2002 and it does not look that weathered.  ???

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.... :shruggy:
I've been through a lot of car forums as I've owned many many cars, but wow - I've never read a thread like this.
Definitely seemed off from the start. I have no doubt that he's some kind of scammer.
I do a lot of international business with countries in Asia, and the way he speaks just reminds me of their use of the English language.
In my opinion, he's a scammer that lives overseas and is trying to sell a car he doesn't own.
I could very well be wrong, but every sign points to that from what I've seen.

Whoa, let's slow down for just a minute.
Recap,
I just now looked at this and said to myself WTF? ???

Guy joins forum with suspicious talk and mystery,

Guy is linked to other forums that members are questioning his legitimacy,

Guy has websites promoting a company he has that doesn't seem to offer anything or give good description of what exactly it is,

Guy is seeking money/investors for said company,

Guy is selling 1,000 authentic bumper stickers for $27 of said company name and signing them as if he's a celebrity,

Guy wants people to buy his company bumper stickers to pay for fixing his charger so it can do a cross country event that HE created three years from now,

Guy overnight decides to sell the car on eBay with ironically a buy it now price of $27,000 which is the same amount of money he wants for selling 1,000 bumper stickers at $27 each,

Guy changes his mind overnight and says he will not sell his charger,

I'm being told I'm completely missing the point even though most are as confused and skeptical as I am.     :shruggy:
I don't think I'm missing anything.   He needs/wants $27,000

Exactly. I understanding some poeple want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but something is clearly wrong with this entire thread.
I understand thta things can get lost in translation via the almighty internet, but literally EVERYTHING he's said has been suspicious. Even the way he talks about this "passion" for the car.

I wish he would just come out and say it.
As insane as this entire thread is, it's slightly entertaining, and I'm waiting for the punchline.
