a518 trans mount

guys,

Ive been searching for the info but all I have found is a mentioning of using a chevy trans mount instead of altering the factory cross member for this trans.  Any ideas which mount to use and bushing.

the one i used is a gm,Oreilly's has them it is a urethane mount.

Thanks guys.  I see in one of the pix on that link a tube mount.  Can that be used if so what mount is that.  Or do i need to modify my stock one.

to the OP it will be a 512 cid,,it is also a lock up converter,  OD & lock up are for cruising only,my trans builder put a bunch of diesel trans parts in it, he is a drag racer & said the trans should hold up but the od unit & converter are the weak link & said not to beat on it in overdrive or converter lock.

yeah i heard the same about the od.  was wondering if there was any fix to this weak link.

I used a trans mount from a early 90's Chevy 1500 2x4  pickup . Using the original Mopar spool mount would have been more of a challenge.
