Well, yea never know.  :scratchchin:

Anyway, What's the bid up too ?

Ended at $33,600. which didn't sell.

My guess is the reserve was higher ?

Can't restore one for less. Shoulda been on someone's radar  :shruggy:

Yeah, that one's a mystery to me too at this point ? :shruggy: People are funny that way ?

All I can think of is potentially the Color didn't appeal across a wider % of buyer's ?
and,
maybe it's greatest strength as a rare "collectible" survivor example, was also it's downfall to most "average" potential aspiring Buyer's, who are just not "collectors" ?
IMO,
either way..... no accounting for idiots who can't do the actual MATH, in acquiring that GOOD of a 1969 Charger !
Only wimps wear Bowties !

Is e-bay the way to sell the car?  I'm just wondering if its reputation for cars is less than it once was.  Maybe its better than ever I really don't know, just asking.  :shruggy: :shruggy:

One thing's for sure, ebay is the best for getting your rig the exposure that it's for sale.

What about Barrett -Jackson.  I think it would bring 75-100K   :shruggy:

Ghoste

I don't know about that.  It might but B-J is also all no reserve so you could end up having to buy your won car back and then you're out the entry fee, trucking there and back plus buyers and sellers commissions.

The only way it would be worth that number is if someone was drunk or rich or both.

Exactly! It not like it's a 68 or green at least.

Waiting to hear if the sale goes well.

While waiting, maybe C-B will explain the "a 68 or green at least" meaning to me.  Often when reading threads dealing with scarcity people inevitably bring up the color green, and I've never understood the reason why.  Is green a rare color, which green combos? Personally I love green as a color, just couldn't paint a y3 car green. Maybe if crème was more common.  If here isn't the place for it, just pm me, I'd like to know.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

I was just being sarcastic. That only a 68 or a green Charger could bring that much. Purely a joke. The op would get it. There was no offense meant.

Watched the news at 11:00, and nothing  :shruggy:  Was this last night, or a future broadcast?  :popcrn:

I never said what day. Stay tuned.   ;)

Not to get off subject but to put in my .02 on the COLOR questions, I think if a color looks great on a car, it is exactly that. I personally LOVE this color combo. When I saw that car for sale right here in my backyard I wished I had the money for it. I think too many cars are painted red or black for the sake of resale. Lots of people do not like green but look how fantastic Brians car is turning out! I'd be damn proud to have this car....  :2thumbs:

ok then, thought it was deeper than that.  I bought a triple green 69 that was totalled for its engine and transmission, never cared for the olive green color, like the F7 though.
(now, 30 years later, wish I had scavenged a bit more off of that car before having its carcass hauled away. body and most glass was ruined but there were plenty of usable parts I now wish I had duplicates of)

Actually, I can live with dark green paint on a car. But when you add a green vinyl roof and/or a green interior, that's when I start getting dry heaves and cramps.

Ghoste

That's just crazy man.  Obviously you have some form of green bias.

It's all mom's fault. I have always hated green beans and peas since childhood and my mother was always trying to force them down my throat.

I'm with you on the Peas. The other nasty one that kept me sitting at the table all night was LIMA BEANS.  :puke:

I have always liked green beans though. And Brians car looks BAD ASS......  :2thumbs:

Plum Crazy 68

Has anyone thought about the recent decline of the Euro's value against the US dollar and how that will affect the prices on overseas sales?  I'm wondering if this is one of the reasons for this car not reaching the reserve.
