I've had great luck with craigslist. Among other things I got a great deal on a '68 grill, fender and two valances from one guy and sold a Dodge tail gate to another guy who happened to have a hard-to-find part for my Charger. It's a great place to buy and sell certain items but some things don't tend to sell too well there. I don't know anything about BidMopar.

Ive had some good look so far on craigslist. I posted a wanted parts ad for my Charger and the only person to reply was the last owner of my car. And he has some parts I need that I can buy off him

Bidmopar never took off too good. Last time i looked there was like 20 items for sale. I was gonna put a car on craigslist last night that I just got but as I was typing the ad a friend called and we struck a deal before I posted it. There seems to be some deals on every so often and but I missed them. There is scammers on the site listing 10K jap cars for 3K.

Craigslist is meant to be a local type thing, so as long as you keep it that way, you can look at the items before you buy.  Makes it nice.  I get good deals on there all the time.  I'm going to pick up some stuff tomorrow actually.

I am on Craigs List all the time. Yes, lots of spam and scammers. When I post something I alllllways write on the bottom of the post,

I HATE SPAM, so please leave your phone number in an email.. I get way less spam crap now..

I look at many areas for parts and cars. Some area's are HUGE and others have next to nothing. The Tampa Bay area is loaded all the time..  I do normally sell a bunch on there.. Matter of fact I just spent the last two hours loading a pile of parts and audio stuff..

The bidmopar didn't have enough going on to keep my interest..

I would love to see Mopar Collector's Guide auction site, www.bidmopar.com, get going good. After all, the site is owned and maintained by the staff at Mopar Collector's Guide, who has been a mainstay in the Mopar hobby for quite some time.

I have listed items up on the bidmopar site in the past, but the sad truth is that there just isn't that much traffic on it and I've never had a single sale from there. One would think that because it is a MOPAR ONLY site, mopar guys would browse the place looking for mopar parts and/or cars. But it looks like it just hasn't caught on yet.....but I still hold out hope it will. I think if more people talked about it on the message boards, more mopar guys(and gals) would at least stop by to check it out.

I've talked with Rob Wolfe in person at the Moparfest show in Canada this summer, so I know he and his staff have put a LOT of work into it to try and make it a place worth checking out. He told me there were still a few bugs he'd like to work out and some things he would like to work on to make it a little better.

Seeing as how there's so many Mopar people who have negative things to say about Ebay, it truly does surprise me that the site hasn't taken off.

It would be an absolutely GREAT place for companies and businesses to showcase their existing product lines and to annouce the arrival of new products, especially since the user's would be all Mopar folks who these companies and businesses are making their products for.

Ok Rick, you got me to go look.. Not much going on there.. I registered just in case...

Thanks! for the welcome, Steve!!! I haven't had much time lately to post with this user name, but my old user name Rick Keesler appeared quite frequently when I was still living in Kansas. Actually, I was one of the very first members to sign on this board way back when Jesse Rose first started it, I think I was like the 14th or 15th person to join. And I was one of the lucky ones to get a first run DC.com T-shirt, which still hangs in my closet!!!!

Nowadays, I must watch myself when I feel like speaking upĀ  :D, I might say something that would offend or not be politically correct

Oh...and by the way, please check your PM's for a message from me......

Steve P.

Damn, I didn't realize you are one in the same..  :icon_smile_blackeye: for me...

Nope no back orders for me. Waiting for you to produce some 65' Coronet 500 parts..

Oooooo! You've got one of the T-shirts? That topic is a real hot-button around here as I'm sure you know. I saw the writing on the wall with that deal so I didn't order any but there are plenty of folks around here who'd like to have a few words with Mr. Rose in person.

Steve P.

I ordered a few, but I don't much care about that. I was glad the site got so many of us together.. Now THIS site is out of siTE..  ;)

Where's my  stickers??    :smilielol:

I sold my Wrangler through Craigslist. I had several serious buyers. Now that I've moved to Egypt, I was surprised to find there's a Craigslist here too.

I've sold a bunch on craigslist. Sold a couple cars and many parts, I've found stuff throuugh wanted ads on craigslist also.
A couple years back I bought two good condition complete 69 charger grills, both for $550. It was a great score.
Its been pretty good in my opinion, and helped me source alot of rare stuff. But just be careful there are some horror storys about craigslist too.
