Does anyone have experience with the Paxton SC kit for the 440?
I have a stock 68 motor.
I will run it on leaded 98 octane race gas anyway from now on.
thanks!

I have a Novi2000 I will be putting on my 408.  I couldn't buy the kit since the only small block bracket Paxton makes fits the Novi1200/1500 so I need to fab up my own.  Paxton is quality stuff, but there's a lot more involved than just slapping on a kit.  Is your fuel pump up for the job?  Do you have big enough lines?  How are you going to control your timing?  Are you planning on tuning yourself?  Blow thru carb? Boost referenced fuel regulator?  Wideband sensors?

You can get away without a lot of aforementioned if you're on low enough boost.  But you will not be running at peak efficiency and could make things hard on the engine.  And you will NEED to lock out your timing and you will NEED to make sure you don't run lean.

If you're up for all that, I say go for it!  Should be a fun ride!

I know the OUTLET temp at the supercharger on a buddies mustang is @300-425. Degrees.
@24 psi. Way too hot, so plan on cutting up your car and routing about a 3-4" tube into trunk into an air-to-water intercooler and back to engine if making any real power...
