Very nice '68 build and I enjoyed the video a lot!  I've had my engine on a dyno after the rebuild but not the whole car on a chassis dyno. Someday, if the timing is right for it I will do it.  Again, congrats !  :2thumbs:

Why don't you just do it infront of a cop car? They will film it for you and all you gotta do is to ask for the video!Simple as that!!!

Thanks for posting. If you don't mind me asking how much does a "portable" dyno test cost? :shruggy:

Its 30 bucks because it was a 'show day' here in Phoenix Mopars unlimited of AZ ran it at the university technicianl instituate.  You get 2 pulls, but actually the guy gave 3 pulls my best pull was my first number the next 2 were were down 10hp due to heat soak..it was 88 degrees so decent temp.

This guy had a better camera going with a HD camera and a some sound boom mic going on:

That is CHEAP.....I thought it could be hundreds.... I still can't believe that is a 383....

Charger-Bodie

383's can definitely be made to run hard especially with a four speed and decend gears so the can rev fast. Great engines.

That is CHEAP.....I thought it could be hundreds.... I still can't believe that is a 383....

Most thought it was a 440 running and when they saw the power output to the wheels they said, 'yup thats a 440' then I parked it and let it cool down with hood open and they came by to ask what I had and I said, 'just a 383' they were shocked  :icon_smile_big: I told em I probably got a little more in her once Im able to tune it better with my O2 sensor setup.  They even commented after the run I had more in it if I got smaller diameter rims on it like the stock 15inch magnums my torque would well be over 400 easily.  :icon_smile_big:

The dyno is always a big hit at the show. Johns car is a real attention getter too. Beautiful color.

Great job!  :2thumbs:

Very sharp!!  It sounds awesome too!!!!!   I don't know how the "WHEEL" has anything to do with the power to the ground, but a well matched combo from motor to the ground is important. Many just go for the fit and look of wheel/tires and forget about gears and RPM for a 1/4 mile car or a daily driver.... But if you are running for example,  a 28" tire on a 14" wheel or a 20" wheel should not make a final drive difference.
