The small nuts that hold the aluminum/stainless trim to the front of the '68-'69 grills have a flat side and a "hollow" side. Which side faces in towards the plastic???

Thanks...

If I'm picturing this correctly, I believe the flat side faces the plastic. The "hollow" side is up.

I can't remember now.....is the inside grille surface where the screws go through flat?  :scratchchin:

That's how mine are on there.

The nuts tighten against the back of the grille, the surface is flat.
If the nuts were tightened hollow side down they would dig into the backside of the grille.
The hollow side faces up.  :2thumbs:

I was leaning towards hollow away from the plastic. Repairing the broken driver's side headlight door tab tonight and taking the grill to the shop tomorrow. Get the grill in, the hood on and aligned, a front end alignment and a thorough cleaning and buff and she'll be ready for action...

As always, thanks for the help...
