I changed the tail lights on my 73 Charger, prior to this the gage lights did not work, head lights do.  The reverse lights, and brake lights work Right turn signal works, left turn signal will make flashers go on, and I have no running lights.  I am gonna change fuses tonight. any other suggestions?

running lights:
- if you talk about parking lights, if you have in front parking lights and sidemarkers, then is a wiring problem on rear harness, not on fuse. If you don't have parking lights/sidemarkers anywhere, then is fuse or lights switch. I don't recall righ now if parking lights fuse works together with another device on car to check if is fuse. Check on owners manual.

-turning lights:
If you have brake lights, then for sure IS NOT the wiring to turning lights, since they use same wire line. But juts in case check if you have hazzards. If you have hazzards on all 4 corners, that confirms wiring to that function is good since also shares same wiring. Then it could be turning switch inside the column. Is definitelly not the flasher since both sides ( left and right ) use the same flasher.

gage lights ? do you mean cluster ?

if you don't have cluster and parking lighst at the same time on all 4 corners, then it could be first the fuse, and then the switch

Lights switch use 2 fuses, one BEFORE the switch to parking lights/sidemarkers and cluster, and one on the output, just to cluster ( orange line )

Front beams itself doesn't use fuse, is a direct line from main splice on ammeter wiring.

So we can say, that switch has two inputs, one fuse, and one not. Then on output, the orange line has another extra fuse just to that.

Just checked... parking lights-sidemarkers-INPUT to cluster is the same fuse than cigar lighter and glove box lamp. If you don't have power there, then is the fuse number 4 ( front view, bottom left hand )

fuse from output to cluster, is number 5 ( front view, top right hand )

I'd start at the trunk harness, one wire feeds all the tail ;ights (running/parking). 2nd check body wiring plug connections. As for gauge lights, maybe unrelated if its like my car, everytime I fix one thing, it developes another problem :rotz: it maybe the dimmer switch http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,18243.0.html
