I would like to know this as well.  :scratchchin: Too bad the confederate general lee fan club is a ghost town now. I know someone from there would have known.
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

I highly doubt warner brothers would have any vin's.
I am drawing a blank on the name of the place that supplied WB with the cars.
They would have vin's as it was them buying cars.

They did it for a couple of seasons then in 1983 Warner Brothers turned total control of building General Lees to a man named Ken Fritz because the Veluzats were caught selling wrecked cars that had received cosmetic repairs and forged vehicle identification numbers. Fritz didn't have the job long before he too was fired and at this point Warner Brothers moved full production in-house.
But this still doesn't answer Keith's ? About a list. I'm sure there was one at one time, but given the circumstances, it might not exist anymore. Maybe try a dukes site. Or I think there's a couple guys on here who know more

When you find it, let me know... I am sure the Holy Grail will be sitting next to it.   :smilielol:

Thats was never proven and no charges where ever filed against them ,  they simply stop supplying cars , because of a few factors , cost's , demand and it was costing them work on other productions , there simply was not a lot of money in supplying the cars .

Fritz built 52 General lee's before the W.B took over in house , because cars went missing under his control .

Warner Brothers kept a list of all cars used , The Dodge Charger registry has this list ,  Tom Sarmento a mechanic on the show , did keep records on what numbered GL did , in the later seasons , he still has the records .

If in doubt when purchasing a "real General lee" that was screen used , always best to contact Wayne at TDC .

There is a facebook page realgenerallee  and website  www.realgenerallee.com  , that has plenty of information on surviving tv and movie cars , as well as calling out the fakes that pop up on ebay and craigslist etc .

Ghoste

It seems like Wayne has vanished from the planet though.  :shruggy: :shruggy:

I got my info from Wikipedia. Not sure how true that is. Just didn't want others thinking I made that up
