What would be a fair price to pay for a very nice factory turn signal stalk with factory cruise control from a 1973 Charger? It has the wiring with plug connection still on it.  :scratchchin:

That one of those items you need or don't. Some time ago I had one on Ebay.  Put it up for $20 twice and go no bites at all.
Just fyi.

Bob

A friend of mine got one at carlisle for 5 bucks.

GOTWING

those sound like great prices !  I paid $35 for one that looks new.  :slap:

Well, as I said that is not one of those items you look at and say "boy, that would look great on my car".  You most likely are looking for one because you have cruise or are looking to install it. So if you are willing to hold on to it until someone needs one you may get a decent price for it. But if you sell it cheap, chances are some one will buy it only to flip it unless they need to replace theirs.  :shruggy:

GOTWING

yeah, it's just one of the many parts i'm collecting for my old high school car that i found and got back after a 23 year search for it ! I also wish AMD would stop messing around and make some full 1/4's for these cars, :flame:  i would be the first one in line.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

$5.00 that's cheap :2thumbs:
I wonder if the same guy would've had a 69 stalk what he would've priced it at :shruggy:

GOTWING

I'm also looking for the actual unit as well if you guys here anything.

Could you be more specific as to what you're looking for?

I assume he means the servo.  I just did all this to my car, here is what you need if you have nothing. (withe reference pictures)
Stalk/Control
Servo and bracket

Carb Linkage which includes cable from servo and a piece called the Lost Motion Link (Pictured)

You need the short cable from the servo to speedometer
And longer cable from servo to transmission.
If you want it correct, you need to replace the washer tank as it is where the servo goes. I found one of those but they are for the most part unobtainium.

Then the most important piece, the wiring.  73-4 was a one piece with the firewall grommet. No doubt it can be made from the diagram with the correct connectors.
The servo is a one vacuum hose unit that was used into the early 80's on trucks so they are relatively easy to find.
But the correct bracket is tough to find,  I wanted a stock look so I hunted and finally found one but it wasn't cheap.

Good explanation. This will be very helpful to those that are looking to restore/add this.

On another off topic note: How the heck do you insert multiple pics w/text in between them? I've tried to figure it out but I'm slow on this tech stuff. I can do just about any mechanical repair but computers....
Send a PM if you're so inclined to explain this to keep this on topic. Thanks.

ONE QUESTION!!! where it leaves the harness from cab throug the firewall ?

I'm soon to add the full cruise system but can not tell the correct dimple on firewall for the harness.

It's been so cold, I have not gotten that far yet. I had everything mounted before Christmas and that is where mine sits. The car HAD cruise but it was ALL removed. Why, I have no idea. So I'm going to assume there is a hole in the firewall with a plug in it.
I will see and post results. Not sure when though when that will be.
