Uh oh....it has green interior Turban!

I like the car because its an oddball....but definitely not a top color for me.  But hey...a nice unrestored car trumps color choice every time!  

I've seen some very "interesting" Challenger T/A color combo's over the years for some reason.

It doesn't make sense but I've probably seen more oddball color combo T/A's than anything else (it almost seems).

Some people claim it was due to sales bank orders....if so, I don't get it?  Where these people a bit coo-coo?  Wasn't the reason for the sales bank to actually sell the car? ha ha .... if that was the case they should've been building fast moving color combos then.    In reality the Challenger T/A was available in ALL available 1970 Challenger colors and I'm guessing some oddballs were the result of plant production/mix decisions?  ....or else someone thought some "not so cool ones" had to be built.

Did the T/A challenger's not have the ralley dash??? The dash cluster in the pic is what I call the granny dash... Could have been an option I guess since I don't really know the challenger's as well as I know the chargers. My buddy had bought a T/A years ago but it was just a piece of a car but it did have the ralley cluster. Cool car still tho!!!!

How tastes change.....

In my younger days.....that color would have made me.....

Today.....if that car was a m/trans.....that would be at the top of a list in a T/A......

Not because I now like beige, but because it IS such an oddball.

For me, not sure if it's maturity....or senility.....but I definitely have changed my tastes.

I would put new carpet in it and ride. I would not touch it, It will get more attention over a restored one at shows etc. and also with the weird green interior, wish was black interior.

Rallye Dash was standard on all Challenger R/T's.....optional on T/A's.

Same as the AAR Cuda , standard dash , ralley was an option .

And another T/A, AAR tid-bit.
AAR's came standard with 15x7 Rallye wheels....nothing else offered.
T/A's came standard with 15x7 "450" Hemi Steel wheels, painted black only with dog dish caps and a trim ring. Rallyes were optional.

Here is a pic of my Mr. Norm's T/A still wearing its original wheels......ditched the Radial T/A's shortly after this pic was taken.
