Ponch, I thought you would have titled this "Spock Was Beamed Up Today".  :'(

I think the guy was cool, separate from his time as Spock.

RIP.

Not a big Start Trek fan*, but "In search of..." was fascinating (used to watch reruns as a kid)

The IV Movie where they travel back in time to San Francisco was hillarious tho..

Heard the other day he was in the hospital, sad to hear he died.  :'(

As cheesy as Star Trek was, I liked it. The movies were good & so was Nimoy's In Search Of.

He was a good actor period! I own the tv series "Combat" and he was a German translator in one episode, I just saw him in the show "Man From U.N.C.L.E" and I also remember him in "Perry Mason" plus "In Search Of" and others. He will be missed a lot. Always one of my favorite actors. R.I.P Leonard  :'(

You got me thinking about all the great old TV shows he would show up in (Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Virginian, Wagon Train) so I went to his biography at IMDB.  I'd forgotten that after Star Trek he was a regular in the original Mission Impossible, 49 appearances!

Nimoy has 134 actor credits, and that does not include the multiple episodic roles of 80 Star Treks and 49 MIs, they count as one credit.  He also has 12 credits as a director, 3 as producer, and 4 as a writer.  He had regular gigs in live theater and Broadway that aren't counted in this bio.

In other words he made a fine living, loved acting, and I hear tell was one happy person.  What more can any of us hope for.

I can't believe he's gone. I grew up watching his television exploits and always considered he and his work to be part of the architecture of my life.

I hate getting older. Some people say aging, life is a voyage of undiscovered country and self-realization, but the only thing I've noticed is the constant of death. RIP Mr. Nimoy...

Lord Warlock

Thought he was just hospitalized, didn't know he died till now.  Too bad, think I liked him more than shatner in the original series.  Eventually learned to like star trek, probably because they kept coming out with new versions of it and I learned to like the originals more than the sequels.
