That Landy, always looking for an advantage.

Probably shouldn't post images owned by GETTY, I've heard they are quite particular and WILL contact ANY website for using their images without consent..... And I've also heard they aint nice about it either

If any clarification is needed, I can ask my customer as he works there.....

Wow if Getty bitches about some pics they must have nothing better to do.

Did they race with drums all around? I noticed behind the wheel the housing was painted red...

Does any one know how many Landy 68's were done like this , paint scheme,
Some were drag cars,
Scat pack car just doing the dealership circuit,
Some had hood scoops in those shots others didn't ,

TPR

Wow. Heaps of shots I've never seen before.
Love that color scheme.

Yes, Landy preferred racing with drums as they were lighter than the disc setup and he wasn't doing road race braking where fade became a concern.  The self energizing of a drum would give him plenty of stopping power without the need for a booster.

GOTWING

Awesome pics, I  love the Cragar SS look with painted brake drums !  :D

Not wanting to get Troy or the site in any trouble I did a little checking and the sole reason for Getty's existence is to prosecute.  The images I had posted came from Peterson Publishing's archives but it appears as though now that it's "The Enthusiast Network" they have an arrangement with Getty so that Getty is the agent for the photos and thats all they do is collect money for their use and aggressively prosecute anyone who does not pay.
I'll try and find some images to go in those spots that come from more reasonable sources.

In this pair of photos, Linda is explaining to the other two Hurstettes why the Charger is a superior car for Landy to be racing and in the second one she is waving at him in the Charger.  You can't see the Charger but trust me, it's there.

A B&M ad featuring the 70 Charger owned by the Sites family.  I don't know that I've seen any other ads with this particular car init.
