I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I never have found the reason for that extra light on any 71/74, being there is already an indicator below the dash pad "eyebrow" which I gues your car also has.

I can think to give the warning to passenger too, but is still hooked to the rest of the system and both turns on no matter which seatbelt you don't have fastened and still not every car got it.

This is a good question!

Let me ask, does the dash have the courtesy lamp with switch which is over the radio? If it does not and just has a flat panel, that would be the reason for the belt light. The fasten seat belt was usually over the steering column but if not ordered with the extra light package, it was just a flat panel. Therefore the belt light had to be elsewhere as they were all required by the time.
That would be my guess.

71 was the only year without the seatbelt light indicator on panel some cars I guess specially on earlier models ( just map light if optioned ) OR even without the provision for any insert. I have even seen original dash pads without the recession for it. I can't recall any 72/74 without the seatbelt indicator on the dash pad eyebrow over the cluster.

I think the blank panels or map light panels without the seatbelt light being sold around are 71 replacements parts

The dash frame seatbelt indicator pigtail got in fact a male and femalie plugs to splice the source and keep feeding both lights. Or that's at least the one I found ( I added this light on my car just because I like accesories LOL )

he will have to check this weekend for a cluster "fasten seat belt" light - he thinks it's there, but he had a '72 SE previously
it's pretty unmolested ~70K miles - he's the 4th owner of the '73 SE
original owner
salesman the SE was ordered thru
my older brother (his dad)
my nephew

it's: "special order paint" (c-body JB9) 440, auto, sunroof, power windows, AM/FM, tach, trailer towing package & 3.55s    :o

73 with the 15" road wheels optioned on 74s coming from 70 and lates C bodies.

the original owner wanted 15" wheels, but they were Not/Available with the Trailer Towing Package (don't know if he or the second owner put the 15" on it?)
the car had white walls & deluxe wheel covers on it when new

scan of an old pic - original paint on a cloudy day around 1988 - here's an indoor bright light shot of some original paint on the a-pillar

here's another late-80s pic, the SE has new Goodyears but my younger brother's 400 Rallye was faster, it had factory 3.55s also  :2thumbs:

here's the 400 Rallye, heading to Columbus, OHIO for the Mopar Nat's 198?

kinda similar ( just similar ) down the sunlight of my car:

but mine gets sometimes some violet shadows, sometimes some greenish shadow. Sure my color was made without any formula, just searching for the color on chart mixing all needed colors and comparing between chart chips and the mix made manually, side by side

Althought my VIN plate ( nothing like the USA plate ) shows FB9 color, not just B9
