It looks like the work of a car magazine project in 1974. I wouldn't put any additional value on it unless it has some pedigree in the form of a race car, a promotional item or a giveaway car from the 70s. If this is just some recently painted Duster, I'd prefer it be sanded and painted a better color.

the way its worded you can't really tell if it's a 70's survivor or a recent build   :scratchchin:

SELLER REMARKS

There are some guys who just know how to have fun with their cars, and the 84-year-old gent who owns and actually races this retro-looking 1973 Plymouth Duster definitely qualifies. Complete with a handicapped parking placard hanging from the rear-view-mirror, he recently used this Duster to literally dust all comers at a local club event and there's no denying the old-school appeal of this very cool compact.

Take your time looking at this car, because it gets increasingly attractive the more you look at it. The paint job is definitely cutting-edge 1970s, but now that everything old is in style again, I'll wager that few cars will attract as much attention as this one does, and in a good way! The finish quality is impressive given the era and it still shines up beautifully and shows quite well, with good gaps and straight sheetmetal underneath. The colors are tasteful and while we'll admit that it's not for everyone, we also admit to liking this car a lot more than we should! The chrome bumpers are in good condition and look perfectly appropriate on this '70s cruiser and the tail panel proudly signifies "A Touch of Class." A big hood scoop is a Chrysler trademark, along with a proper Go-Wing out back, both of which give the low-buck Duster a very aggressive demeanor. Handicapped sign notwithstanding, the guy who lined up next to this car probably should have known better.

The two-tone brown and tan interior takes you back a few decades, but it's perfectly in step with the rest of the car. The seat covers are in excellent condition with minimal wear and finding a Duster with a center console is a very rare treat (it was converted from a column shift). Nice carpets and door panels reflect a car that's had a very caring owner and from behind the wheel there's nothing inexpensive-feeling about it. A column-mounted tach and auxiliary gauges were installed under the dash for obvious reasons and there's a dealer-installed A/C system under there as well. An original AM/FM/8-track radio lives in the center of the dash, but I suspect that this car's owner had more on his mind than just easy listening. The back seat looks almost new and there are custom fabric covers for both the dashboard and the rear package shelf and the trunk is nicely upholstered to match.

Power comes from a warmed-over 340 cubic inch V8, which is a smart runner in this lightweight coupe. Moderate upgrades like a Carter AFB 4-barrel carburetor, cool B&M twin-snorkel air cleaner, and a great-sounding dual exhaust system. Hemi Orange paint on the block works with a lot of polished aluminum pieces to give it a nicely detailed look under the hood and there's no question that it's an awesome runner. A built 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic packs a firm-shifting shift kit and spins a sturdy 8.75-inch rear end with 3.55 gears on a Sure Grip limited slip. Power front disc brakes are a reassuring feature and this little Duster is pretty tidy underneath. Vintage Torque Thrust mags are just the right addition and carry 235/60/15 radials all around.

Definitely a time machine.  I like your advice to take time to look at it.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Very few American cars built in 1973 will bring 13,000. I doubt this will be one of them. A Challenger or Cuda (maybe a pristine Corvette) would be the exception.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

:scratchchin:   lose the go wing  & put black interior in it maybe  :shruggy: not sure if its because its a73  & not a 70 -71 shape  :scratchchin:

looks a well straight car though  from the pictures  :yesnod:  with minor rear quarter rot , or just might be rock / stone chips gone rusty   :scratchchin:

think for 13k you cant really go wrong , if your into 70s A bodies  :yesnod:

I like it.  Paint scheme is on the edge for me but might be able to live with it.  I could NOT live with the fur in the trunk!!  $13K??  Maybe for the right buyer, and there are probably more than one possible buyer out there so I'm guessing it will sell.

Anyone else notice it's a column shift steering column?  :shruggy:

My restored Charger will be a column shift, I miss having my wife sit next to me when we go out!!

Wait, I just looked. It still has a console, now I like it a little less.

Looked again, and now I see what you mean,  gear indicator on the column and a console shift.   :scratchchin: not workin' for me.
