The guy I bought my '69 Charger from also has a '69 Barracuda 340 Type S fastback.
It's been freshly painted with Spies Hecker paint that original sorta
greenish silver color..........and has been sitting in his garage
under a Cal Car Cover for the last 20 years!!! The fresh NM 340/727
has also been hanging off an engine stand with a cover over it as well.
He has new Legendary upholstery for it, all original glass, trim etc too.
Its sat there just ready to be reassembled, it could be back on the road in 2 months!
A mutual friend and I offered to reassemble it FOR him about 8 years ago but he declined.
Anyway it's a beautiful car but for whatever reason he just hasn't put it back
together.
My question is what would this car be worth selling it as is?

Rare car $ ? Photo's
from the description, all work done ? ready to reassemble, 70 % of a car in similar condition, only because of the remaining work to do,
google same make model and what they have gone for recently ,
now that some one replyed, you will get lots of answers now
dont know why that happens , ? no one likes to be the first

I dont think this can be answered without more details that is best be told by looking at the mess in person or photos. Any input without would be a guess.

What does re-assembly mean? Is it just a painted bare shell with 100% of everything in boxes? Is the suspension, wheels, brakes under it or rebuilt? Does it need tires? Exhaust? Has the dash and other electronics been gone though or does that still need to be done? Is it a numbers car? Was it painted the original color or changed? Was the paint job done on a spit or is the bottom still driver quality? What kind of options does the car have that might increase or decrease value?  Is the upholtery from Legendary on the seat frames or is everything still sitting in boxes still requiring lots of work? What exactly was the engine and trans "rebuild" -new gaskets and paint job, or complete reputable work? What did it look like before disassembly - was it a solid car or have extensive rust repair? How much was missing when disassembled and now needs to be rounded up? Was the disassembly organized or will it take the guy 6 months to find everything scattered in his garage?

My guess is $5,347.72 :shruggy:

Damn Mike! My guess wax $5500 even.
2nd owner Cali car. Rode in it 20 years ago. Full on beautiful survivor car.
Full OEM suspension roller with dash functional and intact in the car. Full reupholster required,
new stuff in boxes. New harnesses uninstalled.
Motor/tranny top to bottom rebuilt.......20 years ago but top quality. NM car
Full exhaust needed. All original sheet metal, no rot, rotisserie paint original color.
Nothing missing, disassembled as a complete original car. Everything bagged and labelled.

I spoke with the guy this evening......he said he's going to "start on it" now.
That record has been playing for the last 20. This is how I finally got my '69 R/T
from him......same dance.

This is one of those stories where the widows sells off the full basket for penny's
on the dollar. I wish I knew what was wrong with this guy. We worked together, retired
from the same company and at 70 his "going to start on it now" window isn't as wide
as it used to be.  :shruggy:
