Very nice car and I'd love to have it myself but with 9 hours to go and no bids yet at his opening round of 21,500 or any takers on the BIN at 26,000 it says a few things on the recent wiw thread for the Hemi fastback.  :Twocents:

Early built car, see cluster and radio knobs. But, 67 fender trim and spears.

Price wise, really not that bad, You could not build one, that nice, for what they are asking.

Its a nice car. I wish I had the interior.

5hunert

Does anyone know what is the "31H  Stripe, Red" referring to?  I saw another 66 charger window sticker that had a similar "Stripe, Black"

I wished I looked that good, after 50 years.

Red pinstripe along roofline.
Thanks Ghoste!  That make sense, the black stripe car I saw had a black interior.

A383Wing

interesting that the radiator rock guard is missing from under the front bumper...paint looks to good to be original.

exhaust is re-done, looks like new gas tank, engine compartment looks horrid to me...

and way overpriced

yea, it survived since 1966, but I would not call it original survivor

Nice car.  I think they are asking more than they should. The silver/red combo and optional 383 four barrel makes it desirable to me (especially with sure grip and rallye suspension)....but not 21.5K desirable.

At the right price this car would be worthy a full OEM restoration just for the color and engine combo because lots of good stuff is already there....but I must question the survivor status....

The scheduled production date on this car is 104 (Jan, 4, 1966) yet it has 1967 fender mounted turn signal spears which wouldn't arrive until 8 months later.....

Fender mounted turn signals were std on 1967 Chargers....not available in 1966.

Plus they have silver paint on them.

Another clue of the repaint is the absence of the red painted upper roof line pin stripe - already caught by 5hunert.

Obviously an older restoration.  It "might" have been a straight rust free car before the repaint but who knows?.....but the "survivor" term is being used very liberally here.  The underside in the video doesn't look as nice as the outside  :eek2: :whistling:  But if that interior is all original, its very nice.

Sill a very decent car to start with.

Ghoste

It gets used pretty liberally everywhere in the car hobby nowadays.

Yes it does but not as much as "BARN FIND" :brickwall:

Yes I did notice that as well, good catch.

Ghoste

Yeah barn find is being abused more for sure, its up there with "frame off resto".

dyslexic teddybear

I used to laugh.....hard, :smilielol: at the "frame off" line referring to Mopars.

Now, after seeing some of the threads on this site detailing the saving of some pretty badly rust damaged cars.....

"Frame off" is a good descriptive term. :yesnod:

So true!  :Twocents:

Had a moment this morning to run thru the ad, sale ended yesterday, no sale. Where was it stated in the original ad, ....SURVIVOR......Maybe I missed it.

ODZKing

Is it my monitor or is there a lack of pinstripe as mentioned earlier.  That and the fender signals (67 only) would lead me to believe the car appears to have been painted.  So much for "survivor".   :shruggy:

TUFCAT

By gosh you're right!  The word "survivor" wasn't used in the ad....but the words "original" and "documented" where used extensively.

A383Wing

I was going by the OP's first post and his wording

trunk lock is completely wrong also

TUFCAT

Although the word "survivor" wasn't used, the description made it sound like one in my opinion...and I can clearly see how the OP could make this mistake.

polywideblock

my bad, quickly read through add saw "original" and "documented" . it was 4 in the morning ,    should have used the word CLEAN  instead maybe    :shruggy:
