1955-1960 full size Chevrolet-whats your favorite year? What would you own?
Even though this is a mopar site this is still a pretty important question in my mind...
tri 5 guys are the popular opinion but for me its a 1959 Impala.
So what is the mopar guys opinion?

Windsor

57 Nomad. Use to have a 57 Bel Air. Got rid of it to go MOPAR.

F8-4life

Love the 55-57 Nomads. I'm a wagon freak myself.
I'll take a 1959 Biscayne 2dr wagon.

69wannabe

I don't really have a 50's favorite car, guess I was born way too late for them car's to grab my attention. I know this sound's kinda weird but I like the 67 impala 4 door from the supernatural tv show.

Actually I like the 67 chevy more then the 66 or 68.

The one Ron Howard drove in American Graffiti.  1958?

Guess I am too young too, but I remember what my dad had and liked all, 58 impala 348 3-2 (first car), 57 corvette fuel injected 283, and then he talked his dad into buying a 60 300F.  His dad bought the 300F and a valliant.  Met my dad in the valliant and said how do you like the new car I got.  It looks like the one in the picture you sent, but is a little smaller.  Oh - that last one was not a chevy :icon_smile_big:

My dad said the charger was our family car because of those cars.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

A383Wing

57 Chev Belair convert, 57 Nomad, or the equivalent Pontiac Safari, there are more, but those would be my top 3

Cooter

57. 210 sedan. Black. 454. 4-speed. That is all.
" I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours researching what works and what doesn't and I'm willing to share"

Ghoste

I like the real plain ones like the shoebox from Two Lane or as Cooter described, or a little more dolled up like the Impala Ron Howards character drove in Grafitti.

agree

non mopar, for sure would be a 1949-1955 ford f1 pickup.....after all these years, id still say its one of the coolest trucks ever made. I had a 51 ford with a flathead. That thing was so much much, wish i never sold it. I also had a 1954 chevy that i bought just to clean up and sell (no intentions of keeping it ever)

Old trucks can be just as fun as old cars, or in some ways better

HPP

Partial to the '56 myself. Nice transition between the chubby looking '55 and the over-finned '57.

My aunt inherited my great grandmothers '55 210 sedan when she died in the 1990s. My GG bought it new in '55. She immediately put clear seat covers over everything and proceeded to drive it 10 miles a week back and forth to the store for the next 35 years. Throw in a few odd trips here and there and at the time of her death, it only had 35,000 miles on it. Yellow with a white top and a turquoise interior.

keith88

Not  big fan of 50s time period cars myself, I sold a 69 camaro to buy my 69 charger last year that I owned for 25 years . However i did own a 70 charger as my 1st car.
1969 Charger  Orange /black top  (1989) 360 engine stock with added xtreme comp cam and a 4 bbl  , 904 trans/shift kit , 8-1/4 rear.. with general lee accents.

rt green

given the choices, i'd say 55 chevy. i'd make a gasser out of it.
third string oil changer
