Actually, the prototype 4-door Barracuda was originally pulled out of the Chappaquiddick river in July, 1969 with Ted Kennedy driving....but it was quickly replaced by a 4-door Oldsmobile because 4-door Barracuda's never show up in photographs! ...true story, (I read it online).

That's another reason why the 4-door 'Cuda has never shown up.... Its still sitting in Hangar 18 with the Martians that landed in Roswell.  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Little miss muffet sat on her tuffet.  Eating her curds and whey.  Up came a 4 door cuda with a tufcat inside her and he pulled up beside her and he said,............

"Is that young Brian Williams sitting in the back seat"?  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Seriously ECS, we've been having lots of fun here with our awesome Brian Williams/journalist jokes...and its been a blast. True comic geniuses we are!!

But let's get down to this one simple "journalistic" question.....

If somebody, other then someone that self serving to your needs, came up with such a story (presented by just 1 person) and everyone else that was contacted including employees at the time (who were doing a lot more in the design office that delivering mail) and said they never heard of, or saw the car, .....and there was no photographs of the car, zero, nada, nothing..... would you believe it?

Its hard to prove that something existed when only one person (who also claims to have beat Ronnie Sox in a street race to a closed door executive Chrysler meeting) wrote that he has seen it."

Come on dude.... even Brian Williams wouldn't tell that much of a bullshit story.  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

moparnation74

Very logical statement tufcat!

....but that would require letting go of one's pride....and vested interests.....

TUFCAT

Yeah.....what's the big deal?  We're just a bunch of stupid idiots on the internet.  Our silly Brian Williams quips and humorous opinions meant to be satirical. :P

This is the "OFF-TOPIC" discussion in the "General Discussions" forum.  Not religion, not politics./

As I have come to a understanding, along with many others.  You two can take your real or fake drama B.S, else where.

I'll be happy to give you an honest answer.  I don't care!  I've said a thousand times that we were wanting to do something "unique" and found the story that was written by Roger Johnson AFTER talking about making the Car.  We saw the artists rendering of the Blue Car and decided to make it.  Reading Mr. Johnson's article made it just that much more intriguing.  I still don't understand why this is so personal to you?!  What concern is it of yours?  I certainly had nothing to do with what Mr. Johnson wrote and it doesn't benefit me one way or the other.  Why the constant attacks and personal ridicule?  We are building a Car that was written about by an Automotive Journalist that claims he saw it.  He didn't make a penny from the article he wrote ON HIS WEBSITE so I fail to see what ulterior motives he had for making such an outrageous claim.  Why don't you file a formal complaint against Roger Johnson and what he wrote if this ordeal had negatively altered your life so much?

Here's a serious question if you care to answer.  Did EVERY single aspect of the Automotive World get documented the way you think it should have been documented?  Was every story that was told by our Automotive Historians backed with pictures or audio recordings to document the events?  Should we believe the stories told by guys like Larry Shinoda, Carroll Shelby, Tom Hoover, etc...... that have nothing more than their words to support their recollections?

There is a story about Henry Ford when he built the first "prototype" Car on Bagley Avenue.  As intelligence as he was, he didn't account for the small door opening in the garage and the vehicle was too wide to exit the building.  He had to remove the wheels to squeeze the car into the alley (of the garage) and re-attach the wheels once the car was outside.  Was there other people who saw this occur?  There are no pictures to prove any of this and Mr. Ford was the one who told the story.  Was it all just a lie that some of us Ford guys continue to believe as an interesting part of Automotive History?  Exactly how do you determine when someone is lying and you have no proof to positively refute their story?

Heck tufcat, you won't even explain your own lie about not being involved in the thread but you are able to provide details about an Automotive Journalist that you know nothing about!  So much for your credibility!

Will you reconsider putting a Chrysler vin tag on it, Chrysler broadcast sheet, and Chrysler fender tag?
