Sheryl Crow's new toy

My neighbor just informed me that he sold his beautiful SS/RS Camaro Convertible. It's a bit saddening as I know how much he loved and enjoyed the car.  But, he found out as many do that life has a way of dictating the course of your life.   He has had some major health issues the past couple of years and along with them the associated bills...so the sale helped out big time.   But, he has accepted it and is glad that he got to enjoy a car that many will never have the opportunity to own.   He understands that the car wasn't the most important thing in his life.  And, he still owns a 1970 El Camino SS, so he can enjoy some car shows in the future, if health allows.

Here's the kicker....the Camaro now belongs to Sheryl Crow.   A Performance Car Dealer came with the money and a trailer (not Sheryl Crow herself) and picked it up.   Hopefully, it has found another home where it will be taken care.

I have pictures of the car sitting in my garage to remember it by....

Looks like she got herself a great "Chick Car" to tool around in!

Now she needs some fake Boob's  :D

Age is catching up to her. Pretty soon she'll be an old crow.

Wouldn't want that car back after she drives it. Wasn't she telling the world a few years back to only use "two Squares" to save trees or some nonsense like that.
Dirty Crow! :hah:

OMG, funny! ....I might visit her in a nursing home someday.  Of course, I'm five years younger (and look waaaay better than that old hag) .....but if she holds up well enough, who knows?  I could hit that a few times, then drive the shit out of her Camaro. :icon_smile_wink:

Good for her on her purchase and taste in classic cars.

Of all the vehicles available to her, she decided a classic muscle car =

Hey if it makes her happy, it can't be that bad.    ;)

Looks like a hypocrite to me.  http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/celebrity/sheryl-crow-queen-green

Could look at it a couple of ways...

The car has not ended up rotting in a scrap yard

or

She maintains a green attitude in everyday life so she can enjoy her guilty pleasure (muscle car) on the weekends.   :shruggy:

Most of them are.

Do you mean women, celebrities or muscle car owners?   :scratchchin:

So the topic here was "Sheryl Crow's new toy".....

I'd like know what her "old toy" was?  :drool5:

I think this is what makes her happy:  As in a prior Crow rider, the current version includes her specific liquor schedule. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, she needs a small bottle of Ketel One vodka that will be mixed with a half-gallon of organic cranberry juice. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, Crow requires a bottle of Patron tequila that will be mixed with a half-gallon of organic grapefruit juice

Ohhhh, a car.  I thought you were referring to something else  :D

She does come across as a hypocrite when she claims and acts like a "greenie" and then goes out and buys a musclecar which doesn't exactly fit into most people's definition of a "green car".   But then the car is a small block, so perhaps she figures it's not as bad as a big block.... (Not hurting the earth as much!)

Surprise at all the reaction from my original post....and amused as well...LOL   I originally was trying to point out how we are all just caretakers of our cars and that someday we will see them move on to a new owner for any number of reasons (health, financial, whatever).  Just as my neighbor found out.  Unless that is, you are lucky enough to have a son or daughter that shares your passion for the vehicle and will keep it in the family.   Bottomline, enjoy your car while you can, because you just never know what tomorrow will bring....

She did a GTO for Lance Armstrong on Overhaulin a couple years ago.

Actually Neil Young has several "Classic" cars, I wouldn't call them muscle cars.  One he has mentioned several times and is on one of his album covers is a 1959 Lincoln convertible. In fact he has a love for the old classics.
However, he has the money to convert it, and convert it he did.  It is (according to him) 100% electric.
If we all had the money that would be great, but most of us don't.

Her group rides around in two big busses and a couple of semi's so I think she is doing the best she can greenwise. :Twocents:

The only way to be a TRUE greenie and a non hypocrite would be to forego what we know as civilized life, with conveniences such as electricity, transportation, processed foods and everything else, and just live off of the land.  Considering that 99% of the population would never agree to that it's safe to say that we're all hypocrites, but that doesn't mean that we can't try to live as clean as we can, whether you own a muscle car or not.

As for our cars and their fates when we pass, I think my differential guy said it best: "no one truly owns anything, you only own the time that you spend with that person, place or thing; and all things come to an end.."

To save the Earth's carbon footprint, ....I'd would hit her only in complete darkness.  :D

What a crock. This liberal asswipe blabs on and on about saving the planet, reducing the amount of toilet paper we should use, yet secretly lives as decadent as anyone else. This highlights the absolute hypocrisy of the arrogant Hollywood Liberal elitists: They preach about environmental sensitivity while taking jets to their speaking engagements.

ACUDANUT

I was told that calling someone a liberal (here) is a no no. We have Moderators here that are very liberal, and of course a lot of members seem to lean that way too.
Anyway, I thought I pass that on to you, so you don't get in trouble with that verb, like I did.
I am going to keep my mouth shut for now on.  Tired of politics. One thing we do all have in common is our cars.

Only true if 100 % of us claim to be green.     :scratchchin:   I don't know ONE person that claims this.
