Hi !

I'm Elliot from Belgium. I'm 18 and I just bought a 1969 Charger. It's my dream car and there is a lot of work. It's originaly a 383 automatic 4 barrels. Blue car with white top vinyl. And I want to make it look mostly original.

Will be 440/ automatic overdrive/ B5 blue w/black top vinyl. Steel wheels w/ dogdishes. It's actually my first car !
It's complete expect engine and transmission. Need some metal work but nothing impossible ! Just need my time and lot of love.

I dream about getting a Charger since I'm 10 ! And now I have it ! it's the first time that I'm in a Charger and the First time that I can actually touch one !  :icon_smile_big:

I have a tons of questions to  :icon_smile_big: Because most parts of the car is in parts

I'm a friend with a members of this forum who owns a 1969 R/T charger and have a 1970 Daytona project ;) I'm also a members of the french Mopar Owners Club.
Don't look back, I might be gaining on you.

Welcome, I only recently or my charger and I'm almost 29 I only wish I could have had one at 18! Someone here correct me of I'm wrong but I'm thinking maybe the 69 seats all had headrests. The 68 chargers had a beZel around the headlights when the doors are open that looks like the grille, the 69s dod not have anything just the  headlight buckets. Much cleaner look with the headlight doors open with the bezels. Good luck!

moparnation74

Congrats!  And Welcome!

Love the fact you are going to keep the steelies!  Don't know why, lol

Seat covers are different for 68 and 69 seats other than that they are the same.

I bought my Charger at about your age and everyone told me the same thing.  "F" em I say.  Look at us now!

As for the bulb, I think it's push and twist-someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Someone here correct me of I'm wrong but I'm thinking maybe the 69 seats all had headrests.

Head rests were not mandatory on the '69 Models until January 1st 1969, so any 1969's built in Oct / Nov / Dec 1968, unless requested by option, were Headrest-less.

GREAT start on your project and congrats  :2thumbs:

Crazy?  :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin:  I suppose it might be the case, but in a good way, and you are in good company.  Good luck with the bulb.

By the way, also 18 when I bought mine - but that was back before dinosaurs went extinct.

That Orange bulb is a push and turn left situation but it might be stuck in there after all those years so you might have to be a little persuasive.

My hood need some patchwork ! Have is selling is 1970 Hood (impossible to reuse it on another 1970 Charger) So I was thinking to buy it to take parts from it !

The sheetmetal that I need is where the hood signal lenses goes ! Are those the same for 1969 and 1970 ?
