I think this one has been for sale before. A very clean car, but I always get a kick out of reading the documentation pages provided by the "Galen's Registry"  aka "Chrysler Registry"
Of the 17,109 R/T's built in 1968.  He had 416 in his registry on that date 10-22-12.  That's a mere 2.4% of them documented. Now with all that recorded information. He is able to hype your car by telling you that you own 1 of 3 of this or 1 of 1 that.  Does anyone really get thrilled knowing such useless information? :shruggy:
One question that I have. Are all of the cars in his registry there because the owners paid for the privilege of being in it? Or does the registry included cars that he might of checked out while walking around at car shows?

Nice car for sure. Serious buyers have quite a ways to
go before a reasonable selling price is reached. IMO
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

That car really looks good!

Kinda neat he has the cheques that purchased the car.

Very nice

JB400

Looks like this one will be sold only with the 17's on it for rubber.

TUFCAT

Extremely good documentation right there!  :2thumbs:  As usual, thanks for posting those pictures T-top!  :2thumbs:

I hate to be picky, but its the second very nicely restored Charger w/factory undercoating I've seen (in a row) without a hood insulation pad. Its an easy fix.... but it begs the question - why?  :shruggy:

Also strange this car is loaded with options (except SE package) so I wondered why road wheels weren't ordered over those ugly wheel covers (for an extra $75 bucks) ....and 3-speed wipers for $5.20, and RH mirror for $6.65?

I see they ponied up the extra $4.25 for a locking gas cap though...  :P   So Cali guys, was 11th Ave in Inglewood a bad neighborhood in 1968?  :D

Who would buy this car and drive it seriously......

I'm not sure if it includes cars he looked at or just cars that paid but as one of the more vocal GG bashers on here I want to step up and say in his defence that the whole "1 of 7" or whatever thing is something he gets unfairly blamed for.  He makes it clear that he is talking about 1 of 7 IN HIS REGISTRY and it is the owners who tack on words to make it sound like gospel.  The auction houses are the worst for it.
Its a monster GG created but he isn't the one saying this.  The magazines should take some blame to because they like to say things like "documented by GG and 1 of 7 known to exist"  Well, yes, known to exist by GG but he really is not the guru.  He's just the first guy to publish his findings and now gets credit like a Marti Report or Pontiac Historical.

If I didn't have so much going on, I'd be in on it.

I agree.  Back when his service was called the "Chrysler Registry".  A lot of people assumed that he was somehow tied to Chrysler and he had access to a vast data base listing all of Chrysler production records. All of that one of data, was thought to be based on actual Chrysler records. I'm also saying is, why bother giving out 1 of numbers when your data is only based on a small percentage of total production of a given vehicle. It just provides fuel to those who want to hype a sale, but I guess that is what people are buying sometimes.

It's a 68 - "SE" didn't exist! As for the wipers, it was sold in Los Angeles - but that does make it an odd choice for undercoating.

My blue R/T has a bunch of options but only a manual driver's side mirror and no passenger side mirror. I was at a family gathering one time with my Challenger and a guy said "that one has the go fast mirror" (meaning plain, non-adjustable and only on one side).

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

DOH!  :brickwall:   You're right....ooops!  :P

Sorry, I was looking at that tri-colored gold/green/white '69 SE from Canada a couple days ago.  I guess it was stuck in my mind.

I think he has always been clear though that it's "one of" in his registry.  The mistake was when people assumed his registry was vast.  I don't know.  :shruggy:
