Very sad day indeed!
I loved this lovely RUNNER............. :slap:

I believe the owner was driving on Reseda Valley CA. Freeway , when a Large 4x4 lost control, spun around and hit the Runner.
The Runner driver had no time to react and hit the 4x4 at about 50mph...

Yikes!     That's very badly bent.  :'(    I hope this fella was wearing his shoulder belt.

I've seen this horrible stuff happening a lot lately.  Just saw a really nice '72 Challenger posted on Facebook last week bent around a utility pole somewhere in upstate NY.  I never caught the details on that one....but it looked like they lost control and drove straight into the pole.

I'll try to re-post it here if you guys don't mind.

Anything can happen.....our roads have become a place of very distracted drivers.  :eek2:

That's a big hit, hope the people were okay.

What's the availability of repop panels for fuselage era cars? AMD do anything? I bet there's no company anywhere making those cool loop bumpers.
Or Gen III Chargers/Bee's panels and parts etc, much available? , just wondering idly as I sometimes consider selling my car and get a LAST426 type of Charger with hideaways or make a tribute one.

Just saw this one the net...http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1076469_rk-motors-restoring-the-last-hemi-1971-dodge-charger-r-t

That's a shame, and the worst nightmare to all of us here.

el dub

Might not be to bad. Hopefully the owner had good insurance and will get most of his money back if not all. Then the insurance company will scrap it out and someone else will buy it and fix it up again. mopar lives on!

Ouch.  Sucks.

Those fuselage years just aren't valuable enough to warrant fixing that one.  Even without rust being a factor, there is way more wrong with that unibody than right.

500Jon

The Runner guy and gal were ok thank GOD!
You always think its gonna happen to someone else.
Not this time unfortunately.

Dead cars can be fixed, dead people can't BE!!!

There was a thought of a rebuild but its worse than it looks!!! :eek2:

WOW....That was a hard hit.  :o

If the car's owner decides to fix it there are always cars being parted out. I can't find it at the moment, but someone on one of the Mopar facebook pages just posted a red Satellite with a clean nose & a hit in the quarter panel. He's asking what it's worth but I am not sure if he's buying or selling.  :shruggy:
