I have seen two kinds...

I think my car has the blue one kind ( but in black )

however all sellers acclaim to have the CORRECT ONE

They both might be the "Right" ones in terms of fitment, maybe just different in terms of factory correctness.

tricky lugnuts

Is this for a column-shifted 727?

The linkage that bolts to the frame rail beside the trans?

If so, I think that's a male/female setup with two plastic pieces that fit together, pivoting to move the gear selector on the trans as you move the long bar stuck to the column between gears.

I've been looking for a new set of these bushings, as well as the bushing for the rod that clips to the steering column.

Where are you finding them?

Nacho-RT74

no, this is for the console rod and the tranny bracket for the Z linkage. Is one piece bushing that snaps into the brackets or provisions. Dunno if is the same one than the column setup you are talking about.

The console bracket bushing is the same as the column shift crosshaft support bushing, they were used from '66-'79 under several part numbers the latest being 3575434. Color depends on the vendor.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

All the originals were white up thru at least early 80's

sometime in the mid 80/s they went to white with 4 notches cut into the top ring , also been black and blue - fit and function is the same - regardless of color . Just depends on how correct you want to be

Originals were like this , trust me

well my car has the notched one but in black ( like the blue on pic ), Maybe changed by original owner back in the 80s ?

interesting to know though
