Hey guys,

I need some info on identification of a Dana 60. I'm looking for one for a while now and now one has surfaced. I know how they look, but I'd like to know more about them like say casting numbers or spring perch locations and that kind of stuff.
I just want to make sure I buy a genuinine b-body dana.
The seller states its a 68 b body Dana

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

The diagram below shows the basic shape of the Dana 60, there will be a 60 cast into the web at 3 and the stamped BOM numbers on the right tube can be decoded to show the actual installation.

In addition, a Mopar passenger car Dana will have provisions to mount a pinion snubber on the snout. A '68 should  have a drain plug on the bottom.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
