Sweet T

Hi guys,

I just thought I would drop a message in here.  I presently own a 1969 Charger RT/SE with 440, 4 speed, and 4.10 Dana.  I'm slowly tinkering away at it.  Trying to get it sturdy and safe once again.  It was parked for over seven years.  When I got it home I checked the fluids, put gas in it and said "What the hell, let's see if she'll fire.".  It turned over twice before firing.  It's in the shop right now getting rear rail, and shackle box work.  When it gets done with that I need to get the motor looked over.  I'm loosing a lot of oil from the back of the motor, I believe the main seal.  The clutch is slipping also, I think it might be getting contaminated with oil from the motor.

I picked the car up from my father who had the car for 15 years.  The car had been long forgotten about, but I was over the one day and the garage was open so I asked him when the hell he was going to get the car back on the road.  That's when I found out the car was for sale and someone had put a lowball offer on it.  Well it took me about half a second to decide I best be the one to buy it.

I've notice there are quite a few Canadians on this site.  If by chance anyone knows anything about this car from oh say 1969 to 1990 that would be cool.  It was originally T7, with a T1 roof, and stripe delete.  Now it's orange with gold metallic in the paint, no roof, and a painted black stripe under the RT emblems.

Thanks T
No, it ain't a Hemi.....thank God!

Welcome to the site.  I'd definitely fix that oil leak before replacing the clutch but obviously both will have to be done before you can drive it.  Wish I could tell you something about your car's history.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
