71 Challenger - no front fender liners?

the 71 Challenger I am helping with has NO liners to keep road grunge off the fenders, lights, etc. 

This seems wrong to me.

Input appreciated.

I think that is probably the way it should be.  Are you thinking of the large sort of GM style inner liners?

There were splash shields for the front & the rear of the front fenders, they are available as reproductions.

Yes, some of the A body Barracudas and perhaps something else in the Mopar camp but for the 71 Challenger splash shields were it.  Can't recall the something else though, Dart maybe?
