The Layson Lock works fine, as said the key is completely different as Chris posted. But I also searched around for a spare key
for there locks, and no lock smith can find one. Dave Layson told me there made in house......  his employees told me that was BS
I was not surprised.

Has anyone found one of these keys?

The one other difference between the locks is, the factory unit has the key hole cover on it that goes out of the way when using the key.
The re pop unit has no cover, so anything can get down in the lock, is this a problem? probably not.

I've had issues with mine. Both of them. I couldn't get one out one time and bent the key trying. Not sure if anyone else has but if I turn it to much it's hard to get it back out. Kinda loose fit with the key inside. Tumblers loose. Idk. Feels cheap, my two cents. It does the job if I put it in and barley turn it to lock it.

Thanks.
