Some of you guys know why engine is offset to drives side ( at least on 73/74 ). Also front passenger wheel is around 1 inch deeper down the fender.

My theories about engine is, maybe to have same size rear axles on both sides since pinion need to attack to gear by the side.

Or maybe just to get better gravity point to balance the car when engine is working...

On my 69 Charger the engine is offset to the passenger side of the car, I think for several reasons; to make more room for steering sector and coupler, also the brake booster set-up, also to offset the weight because your battery, brake booster and mastercylinder, and steering sector add quite a bit of weight to the car.

if is because weight then in my car is offset to the MORE WEIGHT side LOL...

BUt what about tranny and rear axle if is offset to the opposite side if they are supposelly all interchangeable between gens ?

frame rails are also offset on front, don't know on rear.

yep ---  dont forget the pinion is offset to the passenger side as well...    aiding in keeping the driveshaft strait - less stress i believe?

OK... this is a point I don't understand...

why yours are offset to passenger side and mine is to driver side, if complete drivetrain is COMPLETELLY interchangeable

Headrope

Perhaps because the motor mounts are reversed?
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

no, they are on right position... is the complete K member offset, since frame rails are offset also
