And I hope to visit Juliano's place. http://www.stevenjuliano.com/gallery.htm?load_img=1

I'm flying out March 26, and I'm also visiting my favorite junkyards. 17 days of Mopar bliss.  ;D

Get your head out of the cold winter and join me in a SoCal adventure, in about 6 weeks from now.

What are your favourite junkyards in SoCal?

They're on the border of Mexico, I was born and raised in La Mesa Ca, and almost lived down there every weekend in the 1980. Otay Mesa, East of I-805 South of Chula Vista.

I was able to save one Super bee; 100% original car that someone was going to throw away. Paid $600. for it.

Lots of Charger died down there too. I regret not trying to get a 69 Charger R/T 4-speed body that was rust free, and had the original paint and stripe on it too. I only got the vin tag from it.  :rotz:

I'll see you Rob  ;)

Cool info.

I have customers in the LA area and I am down that way a few times a year.  Looks like I will have to spend some time South of LA next time to poke around the yard.  What is/are the name of the yard(s)?

I just got back last week from the SW and did some yard tours.  Lots of pics posted here:

Ecology Auto wrecking is one, unless they changed their name. There is 25 odd yards down there. Otay is not a big place, I think it's on Energy Way.

There is a strecth of road just East of El Paso, TX which is about 4 miles long with nothing but salvage yards on either side of the road.  Unfortunately they only carry late model autos.

Thanks again for the tip.

Dude, I live too close to those junkyards. There are lots of M bodys, and that's it. IF anything cool came in, the local Mopar guys are like vultures on the fence. I only find scraps. So the only old Mopar only place is called Sweetwater Auto (619) 475-1005 Mark.
BTW, he won't let you in, so call for what ever you're looking for.

I know, in the 80ds it was like a candy store, but I do find A body stuff there still.

Yep, me too. I bought my '70 Six-pack Charger from him in 1990. That's why I have a salvage title because he's called Sweetwater Auto Wrecking. I paid $1500 for this very fine car.
