516 vs 906 on a six pack

would a set of 516 heads with the big valves and a 75 degree throat cut be better than a set of 906 stock heads? new engine.

The 906 head will still out flow the 516.  The 516 will give a bump in CR.  Depending on the specifics of your build, one might be a better choice than the other.

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

Last few sets we brought in, had the prior castings longside Bowl Radius flaw FIXED ootb, really good now in fact !
