I turn thes things down left and right, I didn't think anyone wanted them lol

Personally... I'm glad the 1st Gens don't bring the money the 2nd Gens do, they're expensive enough as it is.
I'm not in this for the money, I bought my car because I liked it... still do, and have no intensions of ever selling it.

 Oh yeah, sure they do... good luck with that!

Your right though... 68 Chargers & Coronets do not have much in common with each other when it comes to body lines.

They have a LOT in common in the interior though, far more interchange than the 66-67 Chargher and Coronet.

Essentially they do anything the 2nd gen Charger does but for less money.  Pretty much means the 2nd gen is nothing but a rich mans toy.

Well, there's a lot to be said for the 1st Gen's... Those who have owned both will testify to that, but there's no point in starting a fist fight over it.... it's not important.
I leave the dick measuring, and endless posturing to the other crowd.

I was referring to the exterior only

No I understand what you meant, I was referring to the fact that there really are a lot of differences between the fastback Chargers and the Coronets as anyone who bought a Coronet for parts other than drivetrain quickly finds out.  Then someone else will turn around and insist the 2nd gen Charger and the Coronet are night and day different.

A383Wing

from a restoration money stand point, I would say it takes almost twice as much money to restore a first generation as it does a second to get them both to the same point

How could that possibly be true Bryan...
You can buy just about anything for a 2nd Gen, and almost NOTHING for a 1st Gen... what's there to spend the money on?  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

I bolted a '66 Coronet frt. Fender on a '67 Charger. All lines lined up, headlights are another thing.
also bolted the hood on as well, but owner found a 'Charger' hood in better shape. It fit and lined up.
musta had good luck huh?

Some on here, I'd agree. Especially the ones with a Hemi, stupid corvette nose,  and a huge wing....

Me too. Especially when it comes to a roach of a Daytona that the owner simply wants to dump insane amounts of money into to save, plans to never sell it,  yet everybody's cry in bout "rebody"
insane huh? 19 pages of that measuring.....crazy.
