I'm curious what members are having to eat at Christmas dinner.
I made a lasagna, meatballs and sausage for the main course. My brother is making homemade clam chowder (New England style). Apple pie and cookies are for dessert.

First year in a while that we did not have cioppino.

It was lamb roast (marinated in garlic and olive oil), parmesan risotto, and a 2007 Cabernet from Narrow Gate.

Dessert was pina colada upside down cake - pineapple, coconut and rum in a classic upside down cake.  With a Jodar 2008 Port.

I love my wife.  :coolgleamA:

I'll sleep until about noon tomorrow.

My wife has been baking Christmas cookies since last weekend. She also made caramel corn, chocolate brittle, fudge, and cookies I don't know the names of? For Christmas dinner she is baking a ham, sweet potato souffle, polish sausage, pirogi, sour kraut, shaved brussel sprouts with parmesan and breadcrumbs, mostacholli, potato salad, and home made rolls. Friends are bringing salads, stuffed mushrooms, and dips. I am already full!!!

Boy am I jealous!   Just leftovers around here today, since all the festivities w/ family occurred earlier in the week.

No complaints tho'.  I'll just live vicariously via all your delicious sounding descriptions and ponder the dinner that might have been!

Merry, Merry, and Happy, Happy to you and yours!!!!

Lunch was honey baked ham, delicious turkey stuffed with sage, lemon, herbs and breadcrumbs, roast potatoes, salads, with a NZ pinot gris. Dessert was fruit salad, ice cream, pineapple sponge roll and Eaton Mess, which is a type of creamy dessert with meringues crushed in with blue berries and cherries thrown in too.
Dinner at the inlaws was close to a repeat of lunch but with pavlova dessert.
Absolutely 1st class.
