Anyone have any recommendations as to where to purchase new leaf springs and torsion bars for my 68?  Was originally a 383 so it doesn't have the heavy duty stuff right now and everything seems to be pretty worn out.  Was thinking of going with the .96 bars also.  Thanks!!

I bought mine from Eaton Spring in Detroit, MI.  They were $400.00 USD, plus another $85.00 USD for the new mounting hardware.  Well worth it in my eyes.  Keep in mind, I picked them up in Detroit as I imagine shipping would be costly.  You are in the Detroit metro area are you not runningman?

Here is a link to my post, asking the same question as you.

Here is a link to the pics I posted when I got them home.

And then my questions about painting them.

And finally a few pics of them painted and installed in the car, waiting for the rear differential to be put back in.

As far as torsion bars, I still have the same ones that came with my car, for now.

Thanks for the info, yeah I am in the Detroit area.  Those look alot more heavy duty than the stock ones I have now.

I've swapped out the Springs on both my Chargers, Got them from Summit Racing, was $200 and I want to say shipping was free. They had the best price around and the springs are the same MP as everyone else sells. I only replaced the rear bushings, reused the same hardware

Not to sound like a newb, but are they as easy to install as they look, or do you have to flex them to line up?

yes...   through bolt in the front hanger, and a bolt in the rear of the spring eye...      the problems start coming when you narrow a rear or change the mounting point

Kewl - sometimes it's the projects that *look* easy that can bite ya in the ass.
