Hi fella's, I'm new to your site and have been looking at it the past few days and have found the information very helpful.

I have a 66 Charger with a non-matching 440 with a mild build up. In the future I plan on installing a new tank and sending unit along with new 3/8 fuel lines. So, I will be replacing the stock fuel pump in the process. Could you tell me what is the stock psi and ghp for a 440? I was thinking of getting a Carter Pump and they state that the street pump delivers 120 gph @ 6 psi and the strip 120 gph @ 7-8.5 psi. Since they both deliver 120gph does it matter which psi I get?

Now a tranny question. How much ATF fluid is required for a 727? 8 qts? And what brand do you guys recommend or not?

Thanks in advance.

I would go with the 6 psi pump since you have a mild build up.  Your transmission takes 8 quarts.  Are you changing the fluid in the tranny?  I would go with the tranny fluid that your favorite part store sells.  Go with the best you can afford if you change the filter and fluid .  It will help.

Thanks, I was guessing the 6 psi would be suffice.

I frequent the 66-67 charger site often, I came here for a little different perspective on things. When it comes to body and some suspension issues they are fantastic sine they specialize in our unique and complicated designs. :yesnod:

I have used the Mopar brand ATF and the B&M brand before so I was just wondering if either was superior over the other. There is a $3 price difference.
