Hey guys!

Had to post this one real quick. I spotted it on the side of the road last Thursday on the way back to work. Cool 1st gen. Hemi badges and all!  :2thumbs:

as a first generation owner, like the picture.  What town is that from?

MxRacer855

This one was taken in Villa Park, IL.   :2thumbs:

I apologize, I didn't mean to post the same picture twice. I thought I uploaded a different view the second time.

I'll post more when I get off work.

Not a common color for the first generation Charger but it does look nice......

The car had Hemi badges on it. I have no idea if it was a true Hemi though...

Bandit72

dad had a purple 67 back in the early 70's with a black vinyl top! Sure wish I could find it today.  :-\
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

No, I'm kind of the same way.

I've seen a couple hemi transplants into plum crazy first gen chargers.  One was a 392 and it looked like a pretty good install.  The 392 car was for sale in northern MN a while ago.  Don't know if it sold.

:iagree: It stood out like a sore thumb! They must be obsessed with that color on Mopars, because the next day, they had a '71 (I think), Plum Krazy Cuda on the other side of the building.

Of course I had to grab pictures of that one too!

A real hemi car is going to have a boxed/welded in triangle piece of the frame near the rear of the leaf spring mounts.
