I also wouldn't necessarily call it a mural, it's literally just the word "Pegasus" in brackets on both sides

  maybe it was on the original hood       with a name on it like that , there should have been   a matching 70's  mural on the hood or trunk  

Yennow, iv never thought about that. Could've been, who knows. The guy i bought it from put the power-bulge hood on it, as far as im concerned he didnt have the original

What are your plans for the car?

Looking forward towards disc brakes all around, has em in the front but not the back. Paint, as its bubbled in places and peeling where the vinyl meets metal on the roof. Various engine mods such as headers, crank, pistons, etc... And most important of all, rust treatment. The firewall is beginning to rust, as are the corners of the doors. I'm sure more will come down the road, this is just the short list i can pull from the top of my head id like to clean up that engine bay and engine when its out of the car aswell

Good plan.  Better braking and eliminating rust are excellent ideas...

Well i see rust as a cancer on my classic, and cancer must be eliminated im also thinking of removing the vinyl from the roof, love the way they look without it... but i also love the way they look with it

Yeah rust sucks.  It's a glorious feeling once you see your rusted panels getting cut off and replaced with fresh sheet metal.  I should've saved pictures of my old Dutchman panel; that thing was a mess...

Hmmm.  I suppose you mean from 71 or 72.... But

Hahaha,  I said the same thing about my 73.  Sadly I had to let it go last year, no time or money to work on.  Luckily it went to another Mopar person who is doing something with it.

Good find though, nice looking.   Good luck on getting it fixed up.

Had a set of those on my '71 when I bought it. About that size too. They were a bit pitted from sitting for 20 years and the tires were dry rotted and since I couldn't find 14" tires to fit them I went back to the original Rallye's.

In all honesty, i only see a handful of classics in comparison to all the diesels and whatnot around here. i'd like to see more classics rollin around forsure everybody who owns a classic down here seems to only bring it out during car shows, events, etc... i also live in the south-east corner so im unsure of what its like farther up north

Yup, they sure are.
I've never really been one to go for original rims, but im not about to put some 22" spinners on there either
