Hi guys, I have a 1970 Charger with 4 wheel power drum Midland Band Unit brake booster.  Does anyone know how to seat the rod that is attached to the pedal into the brake booster?  I do have the unit apart at the moment.  Thanks

there is no rod from pedal to booster, there is a "Z" bar linkage attached to the dash frame under there

I don't have a 4 spd so there is no Z bar linkage on my car.  There is a rod about 3inches long with an eye end that bolts to the brake pedal linkage and connects to the booster.  When you get a booster, the rod with the eye end is already connected to the booster and there is a boot over it.  I need to know how to press that in the correct way.

i have an automatic and i just replaced my booster for my power drums and i have the Z bar linkage from brake pedal to booster. the new booster didn't come with it, i had to remove from old one when i pulled it. i would think your is suppose to have it too, not sure though, mine is a 69.
the link Neal provided has the pics of it that i think will clarify what you have and/or need

i included this pic to help too, hopefully. got it from another thread

I don't think what I'm asking is clear.  Let's just picture the power booster all by itself as a part out of the car.  One side has a push rod that goes into the master cylinder.  The other side has a boot with an eye end coming out of it which would connect to the brake pedal linkage.  Well under the boot the eye end is a rod that is pressed into a socket in the power booster.  I need to press the eye rod back into the socket so it stays in.

i got it now. in this pic you need to get that rod, circled in red, back into the booster. right?

hopefully someone else here can help out. if not call booster dewey

The Midland-Ross booster has a plastic clip that holds the pushrod in, with the clip in place you just push the pushrod in and it clicks into place.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thank you Luke for posting that pic for me, and yes that is the rod I'm talking about.  Thanks John for your input, As for a plastic clip, when I pulled the eye-rod out there was a plastic clip on the eye-rod groove and a plastic clip in the groove in the receiving end.  Is there two plastic clips? or did the plastic clip shear into two? where can I get these clips? Thank you

Sounds like the clip is broken. I doubt if you'll find one anywhere but at a booster repair shop. Try Booster Dewey
