Unfortunately, I didn't find out until after I got my new suspension kit, that we needed to drill out and grind off these shock bumper supports/brackets.

Luckily, we did this at the body shop, and the black satin behind the front fenders was super easy to mask off and re-spray/blend.

Let the Reilly Motorsports AlterKation installation process begin!

The shocks are dual-adjustable.  :icon_smile_big:

Power rack and pinion (on an originally non-power steering car).

MxRacer855

I was really impressed with how quality these parts are.

All Grade-8 hardware was included.

The sway bar is also super thick.

Everything fit perfectly and came powdercoated.

Rear view.

Putting the brakes together.
12.19" wildwood rotors and 4-piston calipers.

MxRacer855

Also, the door hinges were really sloppy and one seemed a little "bent"...

So I got some new AMD ones to go on before the final spraying.

MxRacer855

Brakes are in!

MxRacer855

I was really happy that the 12.2" rotors and calipers cleared in my 15" wheels, but the tie rod ends from my new suspension did NOT.  :'(

17"s it is...

Thanks Mopar!

Lots more coming soon.

I really can't wait to feel the ride quality on this thing when I'm finished!  :drool5:  :2thumbs:

Are those regular aluminum rivets holding you vin tag to the dash? Because if they are id get the correct style or it could attract the attention of someone who could make things a pain for you.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Yep , get the right rivets for vin tag Jeff,
Watch those after market hinges, I had a lot of trouble and sent them back,
Ended up re bushing my old ones, I suggest bolting your doors and trying them , just to save headaches when painted ,
A few have had trouble with these hinges,
I like that suspension set up , the only part I always focus on is that area to where the bottom arm bolts on , it just looks flimsy , no gusset or shrouding ?
I would like to see this area altered ,
Bracket out to the head and nut area of bolt shrouded or enclosed, it could be on the inner area , so it wouldn't interfere with arm travel ,
:Twocents: other than that Jeff. Great work , car looks great, your hard work and prep shows

Everything is looking great Jeff!!!  :2thumbs:
That car has come a loooooong way.

Thanks for all of the props and advice guys.

I'll definitely try to find the correct vin tag rivets.
Where can I get those? RT Specialties?

We'll also definitely mock the doors up with the new hinges to line everything up and see how they fit before we move on.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have luck with them.

Got my rivets from ecsautomotive.com, was a few years ago though.  Nice car BTW!!!

MxRacer855

I called MegapartsUSA and was able to find them.

Thanks!

Words can't describe how excited I am to get this thing out on the road! I'm guessing... maybe at the very end of fall. Spring 2016 for sure.  :2thumbs:

Restoring the windshield wiper linkage.

Old...

MxRacer855

Done.

Completely stripped, scraped, and sandblasted.

Painted original Chrysler silver (I know, not original to the part, but it protects the metal and I think it looks good  :icon_smile_big: ), with new plastic retainer clips, gaskets, and all of the other little pieces.

MxRacer855

Can't wait to install this setup back on the car when the time comes.

MxRacer855

Just got the new OEM vent cable/handle in the mail from Classic Industries to install on the driver side box I just restored.  :icon_smile_big:
